As it is the end of year, I take this time to reflect on all that I can remember about this year. There’s no way I can remember the sheer amount of things that happen over the course of like 350+ days unless it sticks out. And this will be an overview of what stuck out for me. The review is separated into early winter, spring, summer and fall/winter seasons. Long post, but that’s only because I have a lot to say about some things and I like writing a lot. By the by, those links sprinkled here and there are links to the relevant post I made over this year.

As a mark for me I’d like to remember this year as this year is one of the more important years in Hello! Project history. As far as I can remember I may have lightly sprinkled a ranking before, but I have never really solidified my rankings. And I would like to see year by year, through major developments and small subtle influences, how my rankings differ. Since becoming a fan of Hello! Project, many things have changed, many people have come and gone, and my likes and dislikes have varied.
As for the year 2009, the collective group known as “Wonderful Hearts” was made the real core of Hello! Project with the mass graduation of Elder Club. As we see above, the core consists of Morning Musume (9), Berryz Koubou (7), C-ute (7) and Mano Erina. That’s a grand total of 24 girls.
This year Berryz Koubou is the only group that hasn’t seen any change in members. C-ute was silently dropped to 6 girls soon after FOREVER LOVE. Kanna was later officially announced as resigned. Erika graduated in October. Finally, Koharu graduated earlier this month dropping Morning Musume down to 8 girls. This makes for a grand total of 21 girls in Hello! Project (excluding Eggs).
So here we are read more for my rankings for Hello! Project as of December 2009.

On my daily runs of intlwota today, I run into the news that Arihara Kanna is out of commision. At first as I read it, I thought Kanna had some horrible scandal that just broke her membership in a day. She was in a scandal-ish kind thing in the summer, if we all remember. But as I read on it was about bunions. I vaguely knew what this was about but for times like these, Wikipedia is your friend ^_^. For a normal person, just stopping and “treating” it would be fine. But considering this is an idol we are talking about, I have no problem believing that they get next to no sleep/rest from their busy schedules. Did you know that some of the girls do radio shows? It sure didn’t occur to me what kind of schedule they had until watching Mechaike’s field trip special with Momusu way back when.

Recently I destroyed my limited bandwidth by grabbing the Summer Wonderful Hearts concert. Was it worth it, losing internet for a week?
I think so. I did a live write-up as I watched the concert for fun, so I’ll post that maybe. Until then I’m just rotting here because of exams. So I won’t be able to update a lot for the next two weeks.
This week’s topic!
Buono… wow, I really like them. They have a really enduring pop-rock sound. I just heard Lotta Love Lotta Love and really like it (I already liked their previous release). I’m actually a bit confused about the title of the song but that’s for another day. The PV is okay. You can clearly see the girls dancing and all. Airi looks good but looks more like a kid (then again she is just like 14 years old XD).
Here’s random pictures to pass the time! (from the H!O picboard!)
On a sidenote, the computer lab’s keyboards are extremely crunchy. I hate typing on crunchy keyboards. Also on another sidenote, I am eagerly awaiting Takahashi’s drama outing. I hope it doesn’t do a lot to the H!P schedule, as it will no doubt make her have a lot of work. But hey that’s what a leader is for.
PSS… I hate it when people text me on my cell-phone.
